Continuing in the classic tradition of Yamaha's original Japanese-built guitars, this red label FGX5 features solid-wood construction and an onboard Atmosfeel preamp which amplifies the guitar's natural tone. This model is in excellent shape with some sparse play wear and is free of any major breaks or repairs. The tried and true combination of solid sitka spruce over mahogany back & sides harkens back to the classic sounds of Americana guitar with a crisp, clear tone with plenty of projection and a nice balance between the bass and treble. Further enhancing the tone of this istrument, Yamaha incorporated their Acoustic Resonance Enhancement to give the guitar more of a 'broken-in' tone. Additional appointments include a bone nut & saddle, classic scalloped bracing, and the classic Yamaha V shaped headstock. This model was kept in superb condition by its original owner and includes the original hardshell case, owner's manual, and soundhole cover.
