In great shape with some minor play wear, this 1980s Yamaha SJ-180 is a great guitar for any beginner or seasoned player. The classic blend of a spruce top over mahogany back & sides is a tonewood combination going back to the late 19th century and makes for a very smooth, yet authoritative tone. Even with its smaller body shape, this SJ-180 sacrifices no tone compared to its larger counterparts and has superb projection with excellent bass and treble response. The neck is a classic half-oval profile, most easily comparable to a rounded C shape neck which is immediately comfortable to play and the rosewood fingerboard features a traditional 14 frets to the body. This great playing SJ-180 is a great chance to grab some vintage Yamaha without breaking the bank.
