1983 Guild F40 BLD
For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1983 Guild F40 Blonde.
This Guild F-40 Blonde is a jumbo-sized acoustic guitar known for its robust, resonant sound, featuring a solid spruce top and a distinctive arched maple back and sides. The "Blonde" designation (often listed as BLD) refers to the natural, unstained finish on the maple back and sides. It is a jumbo-sized guitar, specifically the large F-body shape, which contributes to its big, balanced, and projective sound. Built in Westerly, Rhode Island, this is a classic vintage Guild that plays like a cannon!
Despite its age at over 40 years, the only noticible wear is some pick wear on the front and some slight finish checking. It appears to have had a bridge reglue, which is very common for Guilds of this age, but the bridge is solid now with no lift. Even with its age, the neck is in great shape and plays quite nimbly for such a large bodied guitar. All told, this guitar is in excellent shape. It plays great and looks beautiful, with all the fullness and projection you would expect from Guild's USA-built jumbo bodies. Includes a period correct hardshell case.
