2000 Gibson J-45 Rosewood
For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 2000 Gibson J-45 Rosewood.
The J-45 is Gibson’s best-selling acoustic of all time and is among the most popular dreadnought guitars in history. This version of the J-45 with rosewood back and sides delivers all of the playing and sonic characteristics you’d expect from the world-renowned J-45 but with slightly fuller bass response and overtone complexity from the rosewood body. This J-45 Rosewood has been re-fretted and the bridge shows some minor finish pull but is holding firm and shows no gaps underneath. The original Grover tuners, bone nut and saddle were replaced for gold Grovers and an unbleached bone nut and saddle with the original parts still in the guitar's case. The original owner also opted to install an LR Baggs HiFi pickup system for amplified play which translates the natural tone of this guitar very nicely and replaced the endpin with a strap button output jack.
As a player, this J-45 is superb with an easy-playing slim C neck profile and a well-balanced tone that compliments deep bass with chiming trebles. The sustain on this model is fantastic as well with a strong, yet not overpowering ring thanks to the rosewood back and sides. Nut width is the classic Gibson 1.716" and the guitar weighs in at a very nice 5lb 2oz; overall, a very unique J-45 that includes its original hardshell case.
