This 1974 Takamine F-307 "pre-lawsuit" concert-style guitar is a great player with fantastic tone and balance. This F-307 is most similar to a Martin 00 guitar with 14 frets to the body. Scale length comes out to 24.9", upper bout width is just under 11" and the lower bout width comes out to just about 4". Takamine guitars of this era are considered very collectible these days as they were well-made with handling and sound that's fairly similar to the Martin models they aim to emulate. The classic combination of a spruce top and mahogany back and sides (all-ply) gives this guitar a sweet, well balanced sound across all tonal spectrums. Its crisp highs and full bottom make it a joy to play and hear. The adjustable bridge saddle makes finding just the right action for your playing style a simple task.
Despite being over 50 years old, it still has very few signs of wear belying its age. It has been well cared for and was kept in its case for many years. A few surface nicks and dings are present along with minimal pick rash; the only signs to indicate that this guitar has been well played over the years. A svelte player, this F-307 weighs in at 3lb 10oz and comes with a period correct chipboard case.
