1999 Gibson Songbird
For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1999 Gibson Songbird
A short lived offering, Gibson debuted the Songbird at the turn of the millennium as a modern example of their classic workhorse guitars. This Songbird is in very good condition, with a few dings on the sides and one on top (pictured), as well as a slight droop in the fingerboard at the last three frets, though neither of these issues affect this instrument's excellent playability. Akin to the classic Gibson J45 or J50 models, this dreadnought acoustic features a spruce top with mahogany back & sides for classic Gibson tone while the nicely rounded neck sits on the thicker side for a more vintage feel. Having opened up over the years, the playability and tone are the real stars of this instrument with an easy playing C-shaped neck and a nicely balanced tone with excellent projection and sustain. Its no surprise that this instrument feels and sounds so great, coming from one of Gibson's most cherished eras of the last 30 years, evidenced by the excellent craftsmanship of this guitar. Includes the original Gibson Acoustic branded hardshell case and a capo.
