1978 Music Man Stingray Bass - Black
For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1978 Music Man Stingray in Black.
A well loved bass, this 1978 Music Man Stingray was the favorite of a local player who gigged with it since he bought the bass new in the late 1970's. Aside from some wear on the body and side of the last three frets (pictured), this bass had a refret and shows some minor worming on the fretboard finish, and some decaying bridge mutes. Fortunately, none of these blemishes impact the great playability of this vintage bass which is otherwise original from the pots down to the Music Man stamped tuners.
With its single humbucking bass pickup and onboard preamp, this Stingray has a killer tone that can be shaped with treble and bass controls to fit almost any tone for any genre. The neck profile is a comfortable C shape that is reminiscent of a Precision Bass with an excellent contour for a smooth playing experience and features 21 frets to the body. Weighing in at 10lb 6oz, this is actually one of the lighter 70's Music Man basses we've seen. Comes with the original hardshell case.
