1987 Steinberger GL4T Electric Guitar
For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1987 Steinberger GL4T Headless Electric Guitar.
In excellent cosmetic shape with a few minor modifications, this late 80s Steinberger GL4T is a smooth player with some choice tonal options. We know the original EMGs were swapped out for Bartolinis sometime in the 90s and the knobs were also swapped, though the original electronics appear to be relatively unaltered with the volume pot dating to 1986. There's also a classic Rat Fink sticker on the back for some more mojo, but it can easily be removed with naptha or denatured alcohol if desired.
Tonally, this guitar is a beast with superb range from growling low/mid punch to glassy trebles; the Bartolini pickups deliver excellent power and articulation. Further enhancing the tone of the guitar are the three toggle switches which act as mutes per pickup and the push/pull tone pot which allows the bridge humbucker to be coil split for tones more akin to Gilmour or Knopfler. The original TransTrem II system is also present and working great with the ability to downtune seamlessly. This early example of a GL4T is in superb shape and plays wonderfully. Includes the original gigbag, tremolo arm, and some spare strings.
