Produced by Gibson's Memphis, TN plant, this 2017 '63 Reissue is built to capture all the vintage mojo of the earlier ES-335 models. In excellent shape, this guitar shows some light play wear and slight discoloration on the lower side binding, but is free of any major breaks or repairs. Featuring period-correct hardware, block inlays, 1963 body shape with narrower horns and a maple centerblock. The body even uses a vintage-correct three-ply maple/poplar/maple laminate and features quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce top and back bracing. Weighing in at 7lb 13oz, this is a solid player with excellent sustain and resonance. The neck is a medium C shape that perfectly balances handfit and playability, topped with a rosewood fingerboard with period-correct block inlays. Tonally, this 335 is stellar with a classic tone thanks to the vintage-style construction and PAF style humbucking pickups, with equally compelling playability. Includes the original hardshell case and COA.
